  • Hands are so important and we use them to create such beautiful things that AI cannot replicate. we use them to cook, sew, do makeup, paint and many more things that technology will never be able to recreate exactly which is why its important for us to keep that tradition to do things ourselves.
  • fashion over time has changed so drastically but during evolution it always has aspects of time in it, meaning we always carry parts of fashion history with the clothes we wear today.
  • fashion effects our planet is many ways, good and bad. but right now the majority of its effects are quite negative.
  • By being sustainable and eco-friendly with our clothing by up-cycling it can do a lot to stop global warming and save environments and habitats. this is important as we are destroying our world and many do not even realise that 8-10% of humanities carbon emissions are due to the fashion industry as the public eye does not shine light on how large the issue is.
  • 20% of global water waste is caused by fashion and cotton farming, mass cotton farming is so highly demanded the soil gets exposed to 90% of pesticides and its used to farm cotton for faster growth due to the high demand of it.
  • sustainability in fashion is extremely important as it will reduce many major issues in the world not only for our planet but our people as well

SDG stands for sustainable development goals. the meaning for this gives companied that are tied to fast fashion to show how they are trying to be sustainable now and in the future as well.

  • The idea of the circular economy has two long strands, the first relating to the flow of materials through an economy. meaning its how we utilize textiles and materials as an economy.
  • the importance of this is addressed in “A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO SUSTAINABLE FASHION.” where its mentioned that the life of a garment is consisted of these 5 points that all contribute to sustainable fashion.
